Would anybody like to buy a rodeo pony?

Two things spring to mind (am in the same place you are!!)
Have you had her back checked/saddle checked/teeth checked?
And is there a chance she has ulcers?

It's all booked to be checked and if nothing is found I'll be calling the vet (not decided if it's for a check up or an injection...grrr)

hope yours gets sorted!

some horse just really dont want to be ridden no matter what! .my archie would double barrel you as you were flying through the air after rodeo bucking and thrashing and twisting -there was no way you could stay on! he had everything checked over and over and it finally was the vets opinion he had some brain issues ,not a common reason for bucking i know but he really couldnt have been planer in what he was saying. i hope you get to the bottom of your horses issues and can help him, bear in mind tho some horses just love to buck!

I would say instead of getting cross with her, get the checks done.
You will very likely find there is something physical that explains her behaviour.
The youngster I am working with bashed his head, causing a sore back and tightness through the poll.....totally understandable that he wanted to deposit everyone on the floor.

mines exactly the same had EVERYTHING checked and vets checked for ulcers and ovaries and thinks its behavioural  im not buying it she's never been like this before and riding her through it isn't and option.. she does it whilst schooling but not hacking?? im at the end of my tether iv'e just giving her a 'proper' telling off and she still bucked when i asked her to walk on:confused:..

so who wants mine? free to any old home:D

I got bucked off a few weeks ago, first time for ages - and yup, the poor lads saddle was pinching him. Feel like SUCH a bad mummy.

Now sorting out a gullet plate change - thank god I've got my treeless too, bought for when he changes shape.

If everything checks out, I did find a daisy rein helped me a lot when he was "in the habit".

My lad didn't buck (although he could do a strange tigger type action that sort of resembled a very bouncy buck lol),but would nap for England in the school, had all sorts of amusing tricks to avoid doing schooling work.Never did it out hacking or jumping, only schooling.
Nothing physical wrong with him, just a very sharp and young pony who found it boring as hell lol

No magic solutions I'm afraid, but a few months of a sticky bummed and over confident teenage sharer and some age and maturity behind him solved the problem. He will still have the odd moment of amusing himself in the school if thinks his rider is not paying attention, but mostly he's a lot more reliable these days.

Some horses really just do not like school work, especially young ones, and some object more strongly than others;)
Not saying is the problem with yours of course, might be very different circumstances but if it does only happen in the school might be worth considering if it's behavioural rather than physical.

No....one is an appy cross

Lol pony mentioned above is my lovely but dotty spotty pone (appy x native),appy's are known for their quirks even more than welshies IME;)

No....one is an appy cross, the other an British sports horse

I had to sell my Appy x mare as she was a bronker. She went to a very experienced home to be rebacked. A friend of mine has my old mares half sister, who is also inclined to bronk randomly. What line is your appy x from? x

my new mare :( she's all back feet at the moment. Had two nasty falls today.

Somebody said they saw her back feet over the top of TWO big hay bales...

She's having the physio this week, saddler mentioned that a wintec would be an awful fit on her (which is what she was in before) so I think that might have hurt her and now she's not on calmer she's feeling it a bit more.
