get those of us that wanted to a way of donating to ACES as a group?
they are as always desperate for vet wrap-always top of their list, I would be happy to organise getting to the ladies over here that send items out or even to post-I have a box of dressings to go as soon as they can take them,
the things they most desire are listed below but other things are welcome and may be sold at stands throughout the year to raise funds-Christmas clear out? maybe think of donating to a worthy cause
Medical
Cohesive bandages (Vetwrap) - We need all sizes for the variety of animals that are treated, it cannot be purchased in Egypt
Horse wormers
Dog, cat, puppy & kitten flea & tick treatment. Spot on Combination treatment is best, but the spray is also very useful ideally frontline as other don't cover for ticks
Dog, cat, puppy & kitten wormers
Sudocrem - Sadly we see a lot of burns cases due to stable fires
Dressings & Bandages of all shapes and sizes ie Animalintex Poultice
Medicated shampoo – for Horses, dogs & cats
Equine
Horse bits of 4 inch and under. Snaffles, gentle bits, or foal bits are needed to take the ‘local’ ones out of circulation!
Head collars – Foal, Pony & Cob sizes - these are given out to Equines in need to replace chain halters
Lead Ropes - We NEVER seem to have enough lead ropes, these are small, light and relatively cheap to buy especially if you tell your saddler that they are for a charity they might do you a special deal!
Fly Fringes
Padded Nose Band Covers - to cover chains that dig into skin!
Misc
Duct tape (or Gaffa tape) is very good for holding bandages and dressings on in awkward areas including holding hoof treatment in place, and we use a lot of it!
Dog Collars & leads – these are not available in Upper Egypt
Puppy Collars
Grooming Equipment – For horses, dogs & cats
Dog & Cat treats (for catching the injured)
they will also take any out of date meds or spot ons as something is better than nothing
