Kind of - he is an ex racer that with his previous trainer went BS a few times ,then I got him and have focused mainly on the flat side of things as he is a bit of a giraffe if given the chance and I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to jumping. He doesn't help as he will go off some very long strides and play games like take off before the placing pole and let see how few strides we can put in this distance
Hehe my ex racer does plays those games too. She attemped to do 1 stride in a 4 stride double last weekend, we crashed through the fence (was only 2ft3 as she is still learning so not too bad) but luckily she was un phased and seemed quite pleased with herself! Current task is teaching her not to steeplechase jump everything
glad to hear we are not the only ones - my instructor spends most of our jump lesson with her hands over her eyes v poles helped mine but he took a while to realise that he could go inside the v poles and didn't need to take off where they met the ground
