Would anyone like to conformation critique these two?

Be as honest as you like but these are our babies so please don't just be nasty for the sake of it - thanks
Ignore the shocking riding position!!

The pics arent the easiest to judge by to be fair...........as they arent standing square or properly side on!!

Both look like nice sorts to me though!

It is difficult to critique sensible when you can only see one foot on the first pic and the horse is moving away from the camera! In the second pic, the angle and the stance are not doing your horse any favours at all and the nearside hock looks absolutely enormous which is probably down to the picture and not the pony at all - definitely practice standing them up and then take the pic. It is good practice for you and makes it easier to be nice about them both as they seem perfectly pleasant ponies!

Well, I did have a look, but I thought it would be unfair to be critical because the pics make it very diffucult to see them properly!

Side-on pics are best, just standing up, preferably with all four feet in the picture!

Also, if they're your beloved horses which you are happy with, why do you want people to pull them apart?

First one looks like a real 'do anything' type. Has good backend, therefore probably a good engine. Main critique would be that (she?) is very short in front - the rider is sitting halfway up the neck. Neck also seems to have quite a lot of muscle development underneath. Can't see the legs so won't comment on them.

Second one - I like the front legs, can't really see the back legs, possibly a bit short in the quarters but again hard to see due to pic. Generally quite a good type & seems well put together, though has a lot of making up to do. Gorgeous colour and has a very kind eye. Bit long in the pasterns perhaps.

Generally I would prefer the second one to the first as I think it has a lot more quality but they both look like really nice, honest sorts.

I don't think the top one does have a really short neck although the pic does make it look that way, she does have a lot of muscle on the underside of her neck though.

Maybe i will wait until summer to take some pics and ask again as the second one looks like a big yak/donkey at the moment, he is very hairy and unclipped.

I don't want people to pull them apart but I am probably blind to all their faults and I am not really good at conformation.

Definitely more pics would help. By 'short in front' I was referering to her shoulder rather than her neck - but am sure you are right & it is just the angle of the photo.

Both nice sorts, I do like the bay.

1st photo, saddle looks too far forward over the shoulder restricting movement, possibly consider a dressage/straight cut saddle?

2nd photo, feet, I would have his feet barefoot trimmed, especially the hinds, to encourage heel growth for something more slightly upright, he looks as though he's taking a lot of weight on his tendons.

Apart from that, very nice!
