I'm looking for a medium weight turnout rug(180-200gm). Either combo or half neck in 6ft. Ideally don't want to spend over £50 as have already bought the weatherbeeta detach a neck at £120. I'm just finding that rugs are getting sodden everyday and I could do with another medium weight . Ideally avoid amigos as they're not deep enough, and mastas I find are a bit rubbish on quality but that may have changed.

Thank you! Lots of Christmas chocolates to you!

P.s I've tried equestrian clearance and quite liked the look of their own rug, anyone used?

H,

I would recommend Rhinegold for a good cheap rug - the cut/quality is a similar to Shires.

You can get them off Ebay for approx £40 - granted a bit of patience required to search through. :D

I got my nag a 200g in the Robinsons sale, their own brand, I wouldn't normally get one that wasn't a good brand but he's growning loads and trashing rugs for fun, so I didn't want to spend too much! its also 1680 denier, so hopefully he wont be able to rip it too easily (fingers xd) fits well too!

Unless rhinegold have changed alot over the years, I personally wouldn't buy one, one I had came up extremely long and very very shallow, shallower than Saxons. Nothing like the shires rugs I've had. Would recommend the shire tempest range for a budget range.

i got 2 light weight rhinegolds this year and that was the biggest waste of money i've ever spent! tiny around the chest, and not really waterproof at all! should have spent an extra £10 and got amigos!

Not keen on derby house ones. They were great when they first came out, but the recent ones I've found that the buckles actually come off the rug:mad:

Don't like rhinegolds either, not very good quality.

I'll have a look at robinsons. Seems to be shires for the win though just now !

Swish look good but I'm looking for a neck :(

I actually really like the requisite ones.... A few only in 5ft9 though. Not sure whether to get the combo or a high neck? Never had a high neck before as never seen the point in them?
