hi im wanting to put my boy out on loan hes only a yearling appaloosa colt he come to me in a very bad way and i really couldnt bear to sell him, would anyone want him as hes still a colt vet says leave him until next yr as hes not coltish and has no bits yet anyway, reason for loan is my mare who i bought last yr is in foal we didnt have a clue about this and i dont want to find myself with no time to bring him on in his daily routine. he is the sweetest colt anyone would meet hes more like a dog, he would make a great companion to another youngster or a older gelding as hes so calm, do you think anyone would ever consider loaning him as hes a colt or shall i just keep him and see what happens

Why don't you have him gelded? Someone may loan him but you are very limited due to him being entire. If his balls haven't dropped that may be a problem as undecended testicles can turn cancerous and cause real problems ( this is what my vet told me someone correct me if I am wrong please )

last time the vet came out he said that everything looks fine but he said he will be a slow developer because of his bad star in life he was a walking skeleton when he came to me, i will get the vet out again next week to have another look at him and see if anything has changed, hopefully it will have,
