after poor Jayjay's retirement, my sister has nothing to ride!

we have our eye on a lovely pony that might be for loan in the spring/early summer, but we don't want to stop paying for the space on our yard (it took 4 months of being on the waiting list to actually get a stable) and we can't afford just to keep the stable for no reason, and was wondering if it would be stupid to advertise for a loan, just for the winter? maybe someone who doesn't have time to ride with the dark evenings? it would just have to be a quiet, safe pony, 12.2hh - 14.3hh. it's just it would be dumb to put up ads if no-one would consider a loan that short-term...

i am not sure where you are but i am in hertfordshire and there are loads of ads in the tack shops of horses for loan. otherwise i used to loan off of a good riding school in cornwall- they loved to loan for winter as their business was seasonal. i reckon its worth a shot! good luck!

yes, were thinking local paper... it would just be nice for her to have something to ride, she comes up to the yard every day to help with the big ones, but Oscar's lame and Solo's too hyper atm.

Hiya am I right in beleiving you are in Bristol? If so contact me as I have 3 ranging between 12.3hh and 16.1hh which need excercising as I am preggers.......I am in Frampton Cotterell.

dont tell them its short term then! Just take a loan pony and give it back when you have to, sounds nasty to the owner but id do it!
