I hire the gallops at Brightling Park, East Sussex, I pay £100 a year to go as much as I want, it incs use of the xc course as well when the ground is ok. Or you can pay £15 a time.

I'm in South Wales - about 20 mins from Bristol. Not sure of any other than Bristol way here. I would need a few weeks to get my boy confident enough to load though haha!

talking about gallops, i went to Whitcliffe Grange in Ripon yesterday and had a great time around their gallops, they are in great condition and their's plenty of room to play! It's £10 for as long as you want during the day, well worth it i think. If anyone is in North Yorkshire give me a shout - i want to get on there again - Anna the owner is contactable on 07725688794.

that souds fun! i know a couple of private people with gallops but dont know anyyou can hire but i think south hereford hunt suppourters club sometimes do a funride which has gallops that you can go on

It is soo much fun! We have PC camp at Cheltenham racecourse and last year we begged our instructor to let us gallop up teh gallops which we normally walk down to get to the centre of the racecourse :) it is really fun!!

Oh and seeing as your in Gloucestershire Deer Park xc hires out their gallops, I took my mounted games pony round them when I was on work experience 4 years ago was awesome :)

My dad has all weather gallops that he rents out per horse. He's been getting a lot of interest from eventers etc whilst the ground has been so hard. We box over there (as they are just too knackered to hack back afterwards!) and go round the circle a couple of times then up the hill, walk back down and do it again on the other rein. The horses love it, and it really shows up their fitness level. My horse unfortunately zig zags all the way up - he jumps sideways every time he sees a twig / leaf / dock that's going to eat him!

We are just south of Heathfield, East Sussex.

I would love to take my mare on a gallops, she done her last race last year, and our gallops are to small to really open her up. I really want to see what she can do, that'll be fun.:)
