Thinking about whether to get a sharer for my lad -
16.3 19yrs TB chestnut, very handsome lad - sorry no pics as not worked out how to yet.
He used to team chase/ national hunt and is a gent to handle, can get worked up sometimes, but no more than average TB.
I would say not novice ride, but he doesn't really put a foot wrong, he would never napp, buck, rear etc but he does love his job and as far as he is concerned this is to canter around everywhere.
He will walk as much as you want but once he's trotted a bit he gets bored and wants to canter. Once he's had a good blow out will happily walk again.
The not novice bit comes in beacuse he is quite sensitive, needs very suble aids but can be quite strong - it's a case of knowing him. he goes in snaffle bit with grackle and martingale. I think a confident, strong, level headed novice would be fine with him and they would learn loads.
They wouldn't have to do any work as I would be looking after my other horse at same time, so would simply be looking for say £15 a week for him and ride as much as you want.
He doesn't jump ( well he does but it is a wall of death) and has string halt on left hind so gait slightly affected, but loves attention and is a sweetie enjoying a happy semi retirement.
Would be okay for dressage and some showing but would get marked down for his leg.
Would people be interested in a horse/ arrangement like that... I just don't know!!!!
Thanks
