Would anyone want to share her?

I'm thinking of looking for someone to share my mare but know if anyone would be interested as she doesn't jump and we dont have a school!!

She's a cob mare in her early 20's and although still loves a good canter is starting to feel her age a little and can be stiff. We don't have a school so hacking only really and she's in a fab area for it. plus she lives out so hardly any chores. Would anyone actually be interested in a horse who you can only hack? and where would be best to advertise apart from local tack shops?
 
People would def be interested. obviously you want someone local so put up a card at your local feed store and tack shop.

Most likely candidate would be an 'at home' mum who would ride on a weekday while kids at school? that's what I would want anyway.
 
I think lots of people are only interested in hacking. An older rider like me, who just loves ambling through the countryside, would probably love her.

Do any feed/pet supply type shops round you have notice boards? It's not just tack shops which do round here. What about websites? Here in Lancashire there's a local "rider's notice board" website, do you think there may be one round you?
 
I'm sure there are plenty of people who would just like to hack out :) With your adverts, post them on PC/RC message boards, if you're on facebook post in your local equine groups on there if there is one, and also tell people and maybe you'll find someone through word of mouth. Hope you find someone soon :)

That would be perfect, i only really want someone as between work and a young daughter i don't have time to ride her as much as she needs to keep the weight off.

Have put a few ads on fb pages but mostly getting young kids replying who want to jump and gallop everywhere. Think i'll try putting ads up in pet shops too i hadn't thought of that :)
 
I have a pony just like this and have had several sharers... they give up only because they keep getting pregnant... the fertility pony. Glad I don't ride her much, lol :D

Another plus for the older rider! :D:D

She'd have to be some sort of miracle-worker-fertility-pony to get me pregnant!! :D:o
 
Put ads up at:
Local mother & toddler group/nursery
Adult education centre if you have one
Post office
Newsagent

Put somewhere in ad 'For hacking only, Would suit adult with time to spare during school hours (so thus weeding out school children ;) )

Plenty of school mums with little finances round here looking to hack/share for hacking only.
 
She sounds like my ideal share - I'm completely not bothered about jumping/schooling and just want to pootle around the countryide.

Would be interested but i'm based in Oxfordshire.
