Would I be too big for my pony?

Sorry, I know this thread has been done to death.

Tont is a stocky little cob and only 13hh. I'm 5'2 and being only 14, I think I'll grow to be about 5'3 - 5'4. I don't think I'll be too heavy, as I'm only 6 stone.

Sometimes I feel fine on him, but other times I feel really tall. I rode a 14.2 a few times over the summer, and felt perfect on him, which only made me feel worse about my height on Tont. :(

He was given to me at a time when I was pony-less and desperate, so there was no way I was going to say no, but I think back now and wonder if I'd been best waiting for one better suited to my height.

But I'm never, ever going to sell Tont. He is my boy, and he has the most kind, sweet and cheeky character.

So, what is your opinion?

PS. Someone's leading him because he went through a napping stage :)

Thank you, Nicole :D

You look find on him to me.

I am 5'8" and happily rode my daughter's 14.2 dales pony and never felt underhorsed.

You look fine!. In fact, youd still look fine even if you were to stretch to 5ft6/7.

He is a lovely type and you will have many happy years ahead, enjoy!!

OP - Dont want to burst your 'there is still time for me to grow' bubble but I was 5'1 at 14 and I'm still 5'1 at 22.

You are absolutely fine for your pony :)

You look fine now but unless your family are all naturally v petite and you've done all your growing you're likely to get a bit too tall/curvy for him as an adult.

For the moment though don't worry at all and just enjoy the fun you have together. None of us can really predict what will happen to our bodies in a few years.

I don't want to get any taller actually :P

My mom is only 5'0 and my dad is 5'6, so I doubt I'll be very tall at all :)

Thank you for all of the positive comments everyone, you've really reassured me :)

He's a chunky little chap and your Dad could ride him so I don't think you've got much to worry about unless you suddenly shoot up into a six foot bean pole.

You look fine on him. He is a nice type.

I'm 5ft 4in and rode a 13.2 New Forester in endurance comps including doing the 100 miles over Exford.

I also ride a 14 h Arab mare and never feel under horsed
