Would I outgrow a 14.2hh pony?

Jesus no!
My friend is 5ft10 and owns a 14.2 cob and she doesn't even look big on him. You certainly aren't going to outgrow a 14.2 anytime soon and you'd be absolutely fine on a 13.2 at your current height and weight! Whoever told you that is talking rubbish, don't worry!

Depends how tall/heavy you get! I have a 14.2 appaloosa type and I'm 5'5 and weigh 9.5 stone. He's a light/middleweight but I wouldn't be so comfortable on a tb of the same size that's for sure.

For the record, I still ride my 13.2 welsh/arab now and then, even if my legs do look a bit long on him.

God no.
You are tiny! Im 5ft 2 also so not insulting you.
Even if you became too tall for a pony i doubt that you would ever be too heavy.
I am 17, 5ft 2 and ride 13.2 ponies most days. I have a 13.1 pony who Im exercising, a 14.2 pony who is retired and a 15.2 mare who is my latest project.
I would worry as my sistet is 13 and also rides a pony about 14.1 and is unlikly ever to be too heavy for her.
You most certainly are not too big for a 13.2 pony! I uaed to ride a little 11.2 welshie up until being 14! I was too tall for him but not too heavy
I think you will be fine, dont worry :)

Have you been offered a 13.2hh pony? Do you mean the 14.2hh pony?? Well, if so, asan example I am 34, 5'6" and weigh somewhat more than 6 stone! I still ride my 14.2hh pony and I've had him 18 years!

A 13.2hh sure you may outgrow that at some point but, at age 13 I wouldn't have thought you're going to grow too much taller so, unless you got substantially heavier (which doesn't seem likely if you weigh a mere 6 stone now) then I would say it'd be a good while yet before you'd outgrow it!

I ride my daughters 14.3hh connie and I'm 5ft 8 so I wouldn't worry at all. My daughter has been told a few times she's too big for him she's 5 ft 6 and weighs about 8.5 stone really gets on my nerves people seem so hung up on whether you're too big or not, as long as they can carry you weight wise then that's fine and at 6stone they'll barely feel you.

I did endurance riding on a 13.2 hh PBA for many years! Here in the UK we always think that ponies are for children, and yet that isn't the case. You are 13and your pony is 14.2hh, you enjoy! at the end of the day a welsh section A pony was bred to carry a shepherd over the hills to tend his sheep .. these days we worry about putting our small child on their back for fear that they cannot hold the weight!!! laughable!!!

Have fun, my sweet, enjoy your pony, learn, grow and when you are ready to ride a horse, take the next step!

Bad photo soz

my farrier does mounted games on 13.2 and hes about 5'9 and 11+ stone! he might look big on them but he wins a lot, so they clearly don't struggle!

if you that tiny, I think someone is jealous and is just being horrible! I used to ride a 14'2 when i was 11 but I was also 5'5 and 11 stone haha!

I'm in my twenties, 5'4 and around 10st and still ride my 14.2 Arab. I look big on him, but that's just because I have long legs, but he can still carry me over jumps easily, it's not as if I'm flattening him!

Ponies are way more fun to ride anyway :p

I'm 5'10, just under 9stone, & still riding my childhood 14.2 connie x tb. My height is mainly legs, of which she takes a lot up. Although my feet are below her belly unless jumping, my upperbody looks ok. And I competed & hunted as an adult on her too. But at peak fitness her lack of withers & mega topline meant she looked a lot bigger than she was. Unless I suddenly fill out, which I doubt, I'll never outgrow her. It sounds unlikely you will outgrow a 14.2, unless all your female family have a habit of suddenly growing loads mid teens.

Yay they don't my mum stopped growing at 13.:)

How tall you end up may not be the height you are now. I was shorter than you at 13 and then at 15 started growing and didn't stop until I was 22 and 5'6" tall. My sister was tall at 13, one of the tallest in her year group, I was the second smallest in mine, so not always predictable. The height of your parents may help to predict your eventual height, but that isn't always reliable either!

Doesnt sound like it at all! Hard to tell as you might have a growth spurt etc but I'm 5"3 and 7stone and own a 14.1hh pony and had a 13.1 and 13.2hh pony while I was the same size. No one ever said I was too big. They can carry a lot more weight than people think and even then 6 stone is nothing!! x

My 13 year old 5ft 7 and 9st (very sporty and fit but slim, is all muscle) daughter competes at mounted games on her 13.2 show pony, and showjumps successfully at 2ft9-3ft+ on her 14h New Forest. Not outgrown either yet, because I've not yet found her a suitable horse in the right budget.

Twinkle shy, get over it... Your troll accusations are boring, everytime a OP has less than 10posts to their name you label them a troll... *yawn*!!!
