My share horse's owner is very busy at the moment and has agreed that a weekday(s) sharer would help but might not have time to find one herself.
I was thinking of asking about putting an ad up and writing something like
"Weekday sharer needed for lovely 15.1hh 10yr old gelding all-rounder.
<horse's name> loves to SJ, will work nicely on the flat and is good to hack alone and in company. Current novice sharer has taken him along the A1 without difficulty but he wouldn't be suitable for a beginner.
Medium sized friendly and relaxed yard has indoor school, 2 floodlit outdoor schools, one with jumps, farm fields to ride around and access to hacking. Possibility of lessons with existing or your own instructor. Opportunity, but no pressure, for riding-club level competitions.
We're looking for a lightweight rider 2-3 days (flexible) in the week with very occasional weekend days available too. He is on 5-day livery so no chores but small financial contribution required. Might suit parent, student or retired person."
But I wasn't sure if people would be put off to find they are replying to the horses sharer rather than his owner? There wouldn't be more than the three of us riding him and his owner is really helpful and an ex-sharer herself.
