Would it be OK to...

turn out plaited with a lycra hood on? It's not a turnout hood, but I need to plait for an ODE on sunday and have a friend who is very good at plaiting coming over in the morning, and she said she could do it, but then i would need to turn out again for a few hours while I walk the course etc, do you think it would be ok? Also whilst I'm posting... How do you trim feathers? Don't have clippers so would have to be with scissors, but I'm scared of making look silly!!

provided the horse has nothing to rub on it should be fine! and for the heels I use scissors and a comb on a freinds nervous WB youngster, they come out fine!
