I've loaned my first pony out for just under 2 months now.Happy enough although communication is always initiated by me. Went to see him a week after he moved and signed agreement etc. Visited him unannounced (agreed) just before I came to uni, so 3 weeks ago or just over. Had short convo about him being separated as trouble maker in the field, about two weeks ago. I'm now itching to find out if he has been given a 'friend' as I have never kept one without company and he's never been without company. Would it be too pushy/be like me trying to be too much of a say to txt and see how that's going? Would you be peeved or not?

I dont think it would be too pushy; it's not like you are texting her everyday???
I know for a fact I'd be the exact same as you

Go ahead. Just make it a general enquiery as to his well-being, and slip in the 'has he got company'

thanks guys, just don't want to appear pushy and put her off as she is nice and he seems fine healthwise. Definitely not texting everyday

I have two ponies on loan and the owner has gone to uni. She texts me every month and comes to see them in her Uni holidays to ride out. I never mind, actually really pleased she is still interested in them. And at the end of the day you have loaned him out - not sold him so he is still yours to ensure his welfare

thank you guys, had no reply so not sure if she's offended or not, can drop by this weekend if no reply (going home, yay!) so we'll see!
