The foal would be to sell. i am not planning on covering her again til 2010 as she is not due til july this year so i am giving her a year off so i can get an earlier foal the next year. Also i would like to grade her at some point. As you can see from her pedigree she comes from a good dam line. She moves well and jumps like a stag, but is a bit hot
According to the H&H article he suits mares by Quidam De Revel, Darco, & Double Espoir, mares with good, short backs who open up behind when they jump. Not meaning to be rude but the mare does not look to have a short back.
if you do decide to use him 2010 then try and do it as early as possible because as you've said they take a long time to mature. i have a billy one at home by him who is huge and always has been... never stopped growing so spent lots of time out. he was a july foal and took ages to develop mentally and physically. he was never ready for the age classes. i also rode one while i was at roelofs who was a complete cow in the box and worse to ride but there was something that i really liked about her!
Her breed sheet reads like a who's who of top jumping lines - so that 's the good news. I like Kannan as a stallion but with Burgraaf in the mother line, you need to make sure that you don't breed a big thick set horse - Kannons can have various lumps and bumps - I did not believe this until I sold my good six year old by Kannan - she vetted really badly but jumped so well they still wanted her. I have the mother who is a Nimmerdor/Darco mare and she has no lumps or bumps - so I know that it is not her!
Unfortunately you need to breed away from the current lines that she has, so suggest Karandasj, Larino, Eurocommence Pennsylvania or Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve - all very good horses which may complement your girl and produce a foal that has value due to both parent's parentage.
Certainly get your girl graded by the KWPN and make sure her foal is registered by them as well - they are the top studbook and this adds value to the sale as well because you can sell abroad as well as here in the Uk.

A jumper is a jumper, regardless of passport issuer. If you breed British be proud of it.
I have a young kannan, and he matured and grew slowly, didn't really start work untill about 7 because he just kept growing, he is a super jumper though with an amazing temprament, in my oppinion Kannan suits hot mares, but my favourite stallion is Narcos II, I don't know how available he is though. Nabab de Reve has proved successfull and Heartbreaker is popular at the moment.
