Would say good morning but it's the middle of the night...

huge hugs, no one can question your commitment and Im sending lots of positive vibes your way.

Pleased you will be getting a little rest tonight with sons coming home.

Just moved him to his special box and will return him to Mum for drinks every hour.
We have tied a feedbowl on top of that bin with string and he is tucking in, I'm off for a much needed shower, I've finished sorting the annexe for my son and girlfriend, and feel grubby and dirty.
No-one has stayed in there for ages and a mouse got in, that's now eaten some poison so won't reappear but I had to disinfect absolutely every surface and felt worried she would think we live like pigs! (living in the country does accustom you to the odd mouse getting in I must admit, but they never get in the house as we have a killer cat..)
Son says she isn't keen on animals especially horses, so not sure how she will react to here, especially when I wake them opening stable doors at 3 and 6 am tomorrow morning..
Husband has just come up with the bright idea of let's go and get Grandma too, so that's now 7 for the evening meal, and I'll have to move it into the dining room..
Do you think a crutch will bend round his head if I try hard enough?

Good idea re the foal creep feeder. Ours (which I bought years ago)is a strong rectangle plastic base with broad rounded bars at various intervals making it to small for the mare to get her nose in. If you would like any measurements photos etc please just ask. My sister will be borrowing it for the winter otherwise I would have willingly lent it to you.

I am crying here, for the poor little mite. He is so beautiful as well, in the earlier photos.
I don't know what to say, except I am willing him to pull through. And still in awe of you.

I have everything crossed for him. The stud my orange one is at have lost both their this years foals - one in a freak accident, one born prem with badly contracted tendons who just wasn't strong enough. Its so sad.

Really hope he pulls through, you certainly deserve it x

I am hoping that him still eating is the sign he's going to be OK. More <<<<<<<vibes>>>>>>> on their way and some matchsticks for your eyes. Might Granny do a night feed?

Cautiously hopeful tonight, he's eating, doing everything else ok and may not need that 3am feed. We have the camera on in the lounge on a small portable tv and he appears to be drinking form his Mum a lot, plus eating haylage then sleeping.
I feed them both and tie the mare up so he gets a chance to eat, but now he's on a mix which he tucks into happily.
I'll monitor him until 12 then see how he is, right now must dash, I've washed his foal rug and it needs to go in the drier!

Best vibes sent to you, foalie and mum and the rest of your family that they can offer you support where needed.
