Just wondered if there was anyway I could 'improve' my advert? Not had a single call :>( She is very kind, easy and genuine! Don't want to say anymore as don't want to be accused of advertising, it's on Horsequest referrence 33417. Thanks!

I have to say that I actually quite like your ad. Nothing bad stands out that could be putting people off. The only thing that I would like to improve is the photo as it is a bit fuzzy. Do you have a sharp jumping photo and possible a smart confo shot as well?

You may find that her height is a bit awkward to sell, although there are short-arses (like me ;) ) out there who like a small horse. I'm sure that she is worth every penny but it is a buyers market at the moment. :(

I'm sure that with HQ, if you alter the ad, it goes back to the top. It would be worth doing that just to bump it and hope that someone new sees it.

I have to agree with faracat, you need to make your horse stand out. Title it something like pony club superstar with brakes... people love that type of thing!!!
Defo need more photos and defo a decent confo photo but be aware of your camera angle as it can make your horse look out of proportion if you look at some of the other advertisers you'll see what i mean I just been staring at one horse who looks like it's cannons are about an inch wide trying to work out if its the angle or the horse!!!!
Good luck

The ad is ok but I would sell her a bit more use excellent flatwork, brilliant hunter, with the ???hunt bold jump over all types of fillers and XC fences
state she is very good to hack going 1st/ last/alone and in heavy traffic.
Put in a few placings it would sound better than successful.
She looks a good type but at the price people will expect a lot so you need to make the ad stand out, obviously if any of the things I have put are not true dont put them in.
I would try the PC site for her.Put in extra photos there you can also do a video at no extra cost:)

Heights and level she has competed at will be important too.

The jump in the picture looks maybe 2ft3/6 max? 4k is a stretch for a horse that will jump those heights. But if she is jumping round 90cm courses, perhaps 1m at home - then say so.

Right now she looks like she is targeting the happy hacker, non competitive PC rider market, and 4k is quite pricey for that market. If she's not a competition horse, then I'd play up the safe and easy aspect more - ie. always snaffle mouthed, confidence giver for novices, excellent in the heaviest of traffic etc.

Hi, found your advert and nothing there would put buyers off! I must admit as a horse buyer, I found HQ difficult as you couldn't select a geographical area to search (perhaps you can now?). At least with H +H, Horsemart and Horsedeals, potential boyers can select the area in which they want to buy immediately. Best of luck

Thanks everyone! Will 're-jig' advert and try again! She's not a world beater but will take anyone round a 2'9" course and hacks first or last with grandma or grandaughter all in a loose ring snaffle! Just a real easy horse top own! May try H&H but not 100% certain if it's more of a competition type horse that advertise on there!
