Would this annoy you?

Hello,

Am just wondering if anyone else would be slightly annoyed by this?

I work and livery my horses on the same yard so send a large portion of my time there, I had a week of last week, and somebody happened to ask one of the young girls (mid teens) on the yard where I was. So instead of just saying I was on holiday, they said I was off as pregnant. This is def not true as ATM I have zero interest in having kids!

Now I know it was only said as a joke and am not hugely bothered but a part of me is slightly annoyed, as things like this can spread.

So would this have annoyed you or am I over reacting?

OP yes it was a daft thing to say even as a joke and if it were me I would be slightly annoyed about it too. Not nice to think people might spread rumours about you....however I wouldn't worry too much, even if people do believe it they will realise soon enough its not true, and a lot of people won't be that interested..I'm not being rude saying that its just people have usually got enough going on it their own lives.

I would just carry on as normal and take no notice...its bound to blow over soon

I thought as much, its just the same person has said a few different things lately and its just starting to annoy me, as would rather my name not be bought up in convo, as some of the things have caused slight issues.

Overeacting she was probally having a joke and if you do react to it if shes only a teen she will probally wind you up about it more!

I would have gone waddling around and sighing and blowing out my stomache lol! and see how many people would have fallen for it and if people started offering to carry my water bucket etc for me hehe

I'd nip in the bud and notify people you aren't as it's the kind of thing people will worry about if you are looking after their horses!

I wouldn't be too fussed though, people will soon learn she likes to bs

sound like kids having a silly minute.

wouldnt bother me for a second although if particular teen made a habit of pulling silly comments it would get a bit tiresome and the excellent STD clinic comeback someone mentioned would get used by me soon enough
