Would this be appealing to anyone?

For your set up I’d say at least 200pcm possibly more depending on detail of the arrangement. I think people are out of touch on costs. One of my riders also has private lessons at a riding school and it’s £70 an hour. Hiring a horse to go to the beach (horses have to be boxed there) is £100 a time. A lot of people also like to do horsey chores as it’s part of the joy of being around them. It’s certainly been appreciated in current times when other activities were curtailed. One also was doing her Stage 1 which she had passed but honestly she had no idea how to put a rug on correctly or boot up or place a saddle correctly on the horse and adjust saddle pads etc. She still needs supervision tbh but she’s a lovely person whom I get on with well.

Would you like to move to my town in France?

Plenty of room in the forest, we've ridden to Saint-Germain-en-Laye (two and a half to three hours to get there, same back) and ridden through the grounds of the château, and even all the way to Versailles (about six hours to get there, trailer or lorry back, or stay nearby overnight and ride back) and ridden through the grounds there. The soil is sandy, but not many places here have field turnout (nowhere in town has it), but there are very, very few flies.

I don't want to get into a bidding war, but I can put you up while you're looking for a place to buy, and for four hours riding per week I'd chip in about €400 a month (and give you a hand with other stuff).

OP I think it sounds great ... i wish you were nearer to me as well ... I think the Isle of Man is a bit too far away to commute from though unfortunately ;) I hope it all goes well for you ...

Well, that does sound appealing, and I do speak French so I should be ok. Can I bring my competition horse and two Great Danes? ??

Thank you all for such lovely responses. I’m feeling reassured that this would appeal to people!
The reason for the lack of chores is really because I’m a dreadful control freak, and I do my horses very very early (I’m out on the yard at 4:30am, not by necessity, by choice, every day). I don’t want to make someone do that, and I genuinely enjoy looking after my horses so its really just the riding I could do with some help with. ?

There would be an opportunity for the right person to also ride my lovely yellow competition horse, although he is quirky and not at all straight forward, and I really would be happy to give weekly lessons included in the price if someone wanted them.

It would be lovely to find someone who loves him like I do and would enjoy the opportunity to ride and learn from such an awesome horse. For the right person I would be more than happy to accommodate whatever I could!

Of course! You'll have to make sure that the Great Danes don't frighten Tabitha, though.
If Tabitha is a cat, we are all good. They’ve grown up with cats, chickens, ducks, sheep, and all manner of other livestock. They may be enormous, and a tad smelly, but they’re impeccable around all animals. ?

I shall see you in a few hours ?
