Would this be pointless...?

I was thinking what would be best to lunge my horse in. He's not strong and extreamly forward going but he's not super lazy. I have been using his bridle and threading the lunge line through the bit and over his head but it pulls on his bit alot in awkward directions so im not loving it. Would it be completly pointless to put a headcoller under the bridle and attatch the line to that and then attatch a lungie bungie/side reins to the bit so hes not got the line pulling his mouth but still got even contact? Thanks

Yea i could, just never really used one before and not sure how they work? Always used a bridle or head collar :L

Nope, nothing pointless at all about having a headcollar under a bridle to lunge from, I do it so I dont need to attach the lunge line to the bit. If you're comfortable lunging off the headcollar then do it.
