Just a quick opinion pole...

Generally use a poly pad for everyday riding but need something smart for going out, we are doing quite abit of (V) low level dressage and hunting.
Use a black numnah currently with prolite underneath but would prefer a polypad.

Tack is brown, inc. girth.
So for hunting, I know as long as its plain it will be fine.... Was thinking of going for plain brown with maybe a gold trim to it...?

Should I get square or saddle shaped...?

For dressage, bridle is brown with gold buckles (and just normal gp saddle with brown girth)...

Would the brown polypad be ok or I should I get a plain white one....? Again square or saddle shaped?!

See very important issue! :p

Plain brown Poly will be fine for dressage. You can actually use any colour for dressage as long as it is plain (though most go for white or black).

Thank you PS.

Would get black but just bought a brown girth so think brown may look better....

Oh my god do I have nothing else to think than colours of saddle pads?! Slinks away to polypad website in shame :P

White square for stressage, fitted plain brown for hunting (I really don't like the idea of gold trim, especially for something as conservative as hunting!)...

Al uses a plain white square for stressage/ SJ (only has a jumping saddle), then a fitted brown pad for her XC/ hunting.

oh poo. but I need a bit of shimmer somewhere :p:o

Arrggh white is sounding smarter...!

I think brown will look very smart, but then I have a brown square with matching bandages for the warm up.;)

ETA - also I do dressage, jump & show in my VSD (slightly straighter cut GP)

Well one prob sorted, just typed 'white numnah' into ebay...

White dressage square full size with two mins remaining, bid £7.00 and won it for£6!

Less than tenner inc. postage, suitably chuffed. Can use it with my dead sheep pad (yes yes saddle has been fitted with use of thicker pads ;))
