Was it last week or the week before he came out?

Last week, but it has felt unlevel since i purchased it.

Get the horse up to Graham Butt, in Brecon. He'll sort you out a saddle that fits properly.

Glad I read this as HT is my saddler too and I decided to take Mr Darcy to Graham for a second opinion, mainly as it's near as damnit impossible to get HT up here to fit

I have to say I do/did think he was very good but will be interested to see how Graham finds the fit of both saddles HT has fitted for me as neither seem to be 100% spot on as horse has changed shape

Out of interest have you ever used the saddle on another horse (providing it fits or course) to see if the saddle still feels uneven?

Could it be a case that you horse has uneven muscle tone along his back which is causing th saddle to feel unlevel, which your saddle fitter hopefully will of checked seen as its been re-flocked.

Girth straps do stretch.

All saddles i have owned and currently own, have girth straps that have stretched. Try using a humane girth as if it is the odd holes making it feel unlevel, the humane girth will cancel the odd holes out.

It's interesting that the saddle straps have stretched so much, though admittedly evenly by the looks of it.

As M says, it shouldn't make a difference though.

Even more interesting that its less than a year old and i use a non elastic girth!

Ah, I was going to ask if you use a girth with elastic on just one side. I don't think the girth straps of unequal length would make a difference but it might if they were placed in a slightly different position on either side.

If you mount from the ground it is possible to compact the flocking on the off side so that the saddle no longer sits square on the horses back.

I've seen saddles that when viewed through the channel have not had their panels sewn in evenly - centre is not the centre!

If your straps have stretched then it shouldn't have any effect on the levelness of the saddle but it is worth it to remove your girth each time you ride and attach it on the opposit side each time you ride. So one day you'll do up the saddle with the first strap on the near side and the next the first strap on the off side, then do the same with the second strap. This will help them all to stretch evenly.
