this is the ad I have had to out on horsemart today for a liveries pony, she;s wee bit cheeky and they simply want rid of her. however, I like the mare and think she deserves better than this as is just a bit clever for her own good and picks holes in her novice owners. They paid 6k for her 2 yrs ago so want to cut their losses and sell. I really like her and think she's fun, brill to hunt etc. But would my honesty put you off? Do you think anyone would be tempted? If they can't sell her maybe i'll get given her and she can have the life of reiley being my occasional hunter!lol!

Hi - It wouldnt put me off, what your saying sounds honest and if i could find a nice home for my current chappie, i would certainly consider taking her on board. My lad needs a quieter life now but is not a novice ride, so doesnt fit what they are looking for. Good luck. i hope she finds a home that will do her justice. :-)

I think she sounds super actually. Leaping is hardly the biggest problem in the world and I think alot of people would favour that than known napping or something similar.

I think you will get alot of attention, as like I said i think she came across in the ad, as a lovely little mare and if you want her I think you did a to good a job of selling her. You should of made her sound worse.. lol

she sounds fun...and is very pretty now if only i had some cash..
*Goes off to look under sofa for spare pennies*

I really hope she manages to find a lovely new owner to have fun with

I quite like her, I think she's stunning and sounds quite a genuine little horse. If you'd like to *give* her away, I am but a PM away

She looks lovely and the ad would not put me off. I'm not looking for a horse and I don't do mares - but I think I could be tempted!

No I thiink you have been very honest about her and there will be lots of young riders keen to see her and try her. She sounds like she will make someone a lovely horse so hope for her sake she gets a nice competitive home. The 2 coloureds you have on look really nice sorts too!

Def a fab ad- honest and open.

I have just found a new horse who im picking up today but i would have viewd her based on the info given for sure.

Price is good too horse prices are so very high at the moment even given the economy at the monet she she will def get snapped up.

I think she is gorgeous and your ad wouldn't put me off at all. It is much better to be honest in the first place.
I think her colour/looks will sell her easily.
Note to self (I AM NOT BUYING ANYMORE HORSES!!)

Yeah im sure she will sell no problem for that, any competitive teenager should cope with that!

Just from a readers point of view, i should put the wright up in blocks/paragraphs, it just makes it far easier for people to read!

RE- why they paid 6k for her- she came from a well known over priced dealer who sells this sort of thing. She was pretty perfect when they bought her but sadly bad riding has turned her a bit sour as she really was too nicer horse for the owners who don't really ever compete. i'm pretty sure she has some irish SJAI points somewhere, so I'm going to try and look these up once they have given me her passport.

I think you have done a really good job - you could have sold her 5 times over just to us lot ! Conny ponies can fetch a lot of money and they are a fantasic breed. Just being Dun can pump the price up and even the brood mares would set you back this much if not more sometimes.

You have been really honest and whoever takes her on will know what they are getting I think she sounds great and just needs to know her job.

Good luck with her

My TB mare does that if something scares her - she usually buckles first then pings up in the air. Wouldn't bother me in the slightest but I am used to riding a very testing orange mare....

Out of the way everyone..... I WANT HER!!!!

She sounds fab. Really a fun little horse. If only I had the funds, I'd be right over to take a look.

if i had seen her when i was looking 2 yrs ago i would of snatched her up, she looks fab

it wouldnt put me off at all if anything it would make me more intrigued

She looks great and sounds wonderful! Think the ad is a goo done! I wish I lived closer to you though as I am looking for another and she would be ideal!! Not to worry - hope you find her a good home!

Hm. I think Daughter would like her... But I am not buying any more. I am not buying any more. I am not buying any more. I am not buying any more.

In answer to your question, no, it would not put me off at all, even as a parent for her daughter

No calls yet

I'm taking her to a hunter trial tomorrow to get her out and seen as there's room on the lorry.
Thanks for all the positive feedback!

I think she sounds super. However, I'm not sure your advert needs to go in to every little foible she has.

Describe her as not suitable for a novice - and price her accordingly (she's on for far too little).

When people phone you up - then you can go in to a bit more detail I would suggest.

At the moment though, what you have is a smashin sounding pony - just not suitable for novice owners.

Well, firstly no it wouldn't put me off at all, my mare occasionally does this when excited (usually SJing) and provided the front end comes up higher than the back end its dead easy to sit to. She looks a beautiful mare and sounds fab, I'd have her in a jiffy

I do agree with SallySmith though I think the ad is too wordy, its all very well being honest but its too long! I also think you could perhaps sell her for £3-3.5k as well.

We could sell her for more prob yes but her owners would rather she was gone sooner as they would like to move on and get a new horse, not be stuck paying me to ride her.
