I bought a beautiful Wentworth saddle today which I'm very happy about considering it was only £90!
So here's the issue. I have a Shires Optimus that I had a saddler out to but neither the N/M or M gullets fit her properly as she has absolutely no topline at the moment. It also doesn't suit me, I feel like I'm being pushed forwards - and from photos it also shows that I am.
So I put the Wentworth on her today and fits her nicely along her back with no tight areas, but is VERY close to her withers.
She will build up in the next few months so I think it'll fit her better with time, but for now would a front riser be ok?
Also, the bottom of the flaps are a bit thin, can a saddler reinforce this some way?
