I have decided after much deliberation to splash out on a Rambo rug for George. I wanted a 100g outer (for the Autumn / Spring) that would take the horseware liners, and Horseware have let me know that they have just redesigned their original and it fits the bill. I would then get a 100g liner to start with so I have a 200g rug to replace my old rug of this weight, and then when his heavyweight dies I would get a 200g liner to make it a 300g rug - the most George would need as he's quite a hot soul and only goes out during the day.

So this all sounds ideal (well aside from the price tag:eek:!!), but the only neck cover to match this rug is a no fill neck cover, whilst I will be happy with this when the rug is being used as a 100 or 200g, do you think it will be ok when the rug is being used as a 300g?

Thanks
:)

I would think so. It will keep the wind and rain off him which is the main thing, especially if he's clipped. He has his mane to keep him warm under there after all! I'd be happy to turn any of ours out like that. :)

Indie has a snuggy hood turnout under her rug to solve this problem. Or if the hood isn't fixed find out how it's attached and get another brand of hood.
