With this warm weather my Golden Retriever was so hot with his thick coat i decided to get him clipped an what a different dog here are some before and after pics he is only just 4 n called Dillon.
And his new hair cut has proved a massive difference with him climbing 3 mountains in the Lakes in 4 days this weekend he buzzed of it and is so much more happier.
What do u think about his new look?

If you wanted a proper dog you could of just gone & bought a lab in the first place!! LOL.
Yes I'm being cheeky! He looks really happy for that, bet he feels loads lighter & cooler!

Dillon is so handsome with both his 'hair do' s but must feel a lot more comfortable with his summer 'do',very considerate of you. Will have the show purists up in arms lol!I once did the same to my old sheltie one hot summer, the breeder went mentalist but my Rufus was so happy and that's what matters most!

i used to do a belly clip on my long haired GSD in the hot weather, wouldn't dared to have taken all his lovely locks off

I do my Border Terrier myself after the last 'professional' groomer I took her to had obviously never seen a picture of what a BT is supposed to look like, she came back with a square cut muzzle and head - I think shed been given the min schnauzer number, poor thing looked ridiculous!

Now she has me and a pair of rounded scissors and looks like a cool crinkle cut chip! But loves being more comfy!

Your lovely GR looks fab and much more comfy - I cant bear seeing dogs too hot in summer, much prefer them clipped, even long coaties
