hello, well as i have just noticed we have 2 newbies to the forum, and i am still new myself, i was wondering if we could all have a little introduction.
I'll go first.

I live on the very top of a mountain in wales. i have 11 horses in total. 4 i event, 1 youngster (forsale), two 3yrs olds, one yearling, 2 brood mares and my very first horse now 23yrs old.

my 4 eventers are pictured below, pilgrim (chestnut) x-race. sadie - novice BE mare, riley - PN event, udo - BD and will eventually (hopefully) make it round a BE course. they range from sadie at 15.2hh and udo the grey at 17.1hh

I have 5 cats and 2 dogs and work night to fed my habbit, and you wil probably notice very quickly that i can't spell to save my life. Anybody else???

What a great idea.

I am gail and live on an arable farm in lincolnshire.

Own 1 elderly TB, and feed an elderly welsh mountain, also look after 21 others.

Have 1 weim long hair ( recently lost my short hair), and one terrier, 2 cats 2 fish, and due to get 2 guinea pigs on the 22 december.

Used to do 3 day event on TB, but he now does nothing except let me love him, and spend all my money on feeding him

I'll go next as i don't think I've ever introduced myself properly either!

I live in Leicestershire and have a 15.3 TBx mare, Hattie, a VERY VERY VERY elderly 13hh pony named Beauty and another pony will be joining the herd tomorrow too. I also have 13 chickens (4 hens, 8 pullets and a cockeral) and a border collie/alsatian cross name Pepper.

I am side saddle mad and often hack out that way and *attempt* to do dressage that way although I do enjoy the odd jump in my astride saddle too.

hi their aregona, i'm new 2 but i'm already finding that i really like this forum its extremely usefull and also sometimes entertaining.
Anyhow i'm 23yrs old i'm a postie however worked 5yrs in an equestrian centre as a slave basically, from my 16th birthday looking after 30+ horses doing anything and everything daily jobs ie mucking out feeding and also teaching kiddies lessons and breaking and schooling it taught me an awfull lot.

I now am much happier keeping horses as my hobby and not my job i have Vinnie he is a knabstrupper x tb 18month old gelding to make approx 16hh i plan to break him myself when he is older and just to do a bit of everything with him, he is the love of my life lol. i also have a dachshund called murphy and a fluffy cat called posie

This feels like some kind of therapy meeting.
I'm Beccy, I have a small livery yard near Rye in East Sussex. I have a young friesian gelding who I have had since a baby, and a showjumper warmblood mare (for loan/share).
I live with my OH on the yard with our crazy poodle cross border terrier Heffner and lots of outdoor cats, a few sheep, a rabbit and some ducks!
I'm just starting to get my friesian fit and ready for summer, it will be his first time at everything, he is still very green and very novice. He takes up most my time so warmblood mare is looking for someone to ride and compete her as I run the yard myself and have very little free time.
Nice to meet you

I live on the Southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors but am originally from Nottingham/Derby area.

I live with my OH, a cat, 4 dogs and 5 ponies.

My ponies are Riva 13hh gelding, Lulu 13.1hh mare, Jazmyn 13.2hh mare, Elspeth 8hh filly and Ebony 14.1hh mare.

I show them all except Ebony, I only got her this summer, she is 25 and was going to go for meat, she was not in good enough condition to show but we are getting there now and I plan to do affiliated veteran showing with her next season.

I do local and county shows, Elspeth and Jazmyn were both placed at Ponies UK this year too.

I work from home for an internet based company and my OH is a nanny

I live in South Wales and i'm 26.

I've currently got the 2 boys which I keep at DIY livery about 10 minutes from my house. I will soon be acquiring a third boy to the collection-my sisters old 13.2 is coming back for a slower pace of life.

I showjump with the bay (Patrick) and the old man (Harvey) is enjoying a well deserved retirement. He's still exercised as he's still very active-he still thinks he's a 3yr old sometimes bless him.
Nice to meet you all.

As has already been explaind ' arable' is, just crops, nothing very exciting, but was great in my mans riding years as could gallop for miles
smile.gif

I'm 25, live in Preston and work for the ambulance service
I rode from age 5, had my own horses and did 5 years at Myerscough studying equine. My horse was PTS and I quit horses totally for about 5 years.
I drove past someone hacking last March, and went home and cried, then put a sharer advert out. I shared 2 horses which came to an end when they were sold.
Now I help on the livery yard where my share horses were a mucker out, unpaid groom and general sanity keeper! I spent a week at Talland in Sept to help my confidence, which has now shot up
I've realised that horses are who I am, and I plan to look at loaning/owning again very soon

I like purple, wasabi peanuts, rnb music, Gossip Girl, Dollhouse, Lost, Prison Break, MAC make up, reading and dancing

Aregona that is very strange lol i quite like my actual job its just the managers and bosses that get me down you get no support from themanyhow i'll not get into that lol its far far better than being a groom at an equestrian centre, i plan to become a driving instructor in the future x

I'm older than most of you in my 40's.
I have just bought a new horse 'Micah' who I hope will be everything he seems to be so far. Plan to do SJ. DR XC, WH
However i had a nasty fall in January resulting in plating and pinning my left ankle, which still hasn't healed right. So have had a long long lay off so almost learning to ride from scratch again.
I also suffer from Rhuematoid Arthritis which causes me a lot of trouble so I do what I can when I can
I live on my own :-) after a long long marriage. Glad to say much happier now.
My son is now 25 and together we have started a Community first Responder group in our area

oh I am also a cub scout leader (no wonder there is no spare time left)

I'm 25, live on the edge of london and am currently out of work but i'm a qualified security officer, not sure if i'll go back to security or do something else, I ran a large BHS riding school/Livery yard from the age of 17 until Jan this year, I've got Buzz a 14.3hh Connemara x tb who up until jan i was competing in BSJA seniors to newcomers level, once i am re employed i will start competing again, but at the moment we potter about doing a bit of everything.

Ooh I like this post

I'm Jo. I've just turned 22 and I live on my own in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
I was born in Aberdeenshire and spent 16yrs of my life up there before going to an equine college in Staffordshire to do an ND in horse management! Long way from home. I then moved further south to go to Moreton Morrell to do my degree but I dropped out after a year and got an office job.
With my job I managed to afford my first horse who I have had since May 2008. Tia is 16.1, 8yr old ISH and was everything I was looking for. She's a very sweet and affectionate mare and we have a great bond. She is smart and does argue a bit when ridden so we are still working on her going perfect for me!
I am so bored of my job and wish my mum lived closer with her two adorable 1year old Weimaraners as she still lives in Aberdeenshire!
I love Xfactor, Strictly, TWILIGHT!! and various bands. I've also got a bit addicted to Americas/Britain's Next Top Model on sky..

Im Beth, live in herefordshire with 4 horses. 2 eventers - Song a 11yo Novice/Int eventer with 9 point and is currently doing dressage this winter and has had 1 win and a 4th in novice so we have 4 points.
