I ordered a few items from a well known equestrian store on Wednesday, to arrive within 2-4 working days as I am off work on these days so would be here to recieve the parcel. On Friday I recieved a nice big parcel but when I opened it up it wasnt mine.
I rung them up and told them the situation and they arranged to collect the items on monday as im off work. They assured me that although I had someone elses order mine, they wouldnt have mine and it would still be on the way.
Later that day they left a message on my answer machine to say they couldnt come monday and would come tuesday instead, when im back at work.
I have rung them today to say I wont be in on tuesday and I have had to arrange to leave the parcel somewhere. I asked them when I would recieve my parcel to which they said someone else had recieved it and it will be dispatched on monday.
I told them I was back at work that day to which they said it didnt require a signature and they would leave it for me.
Now I dont know about anyone else, but I dont like parcels being left outside. Its not a small parcel either.
I asked them if I could have my delivery charge refunded due to the fact that I ordered it to arrive on my days off and now it wont be doing. The woman kept saying it didnt require a signature on arrival and so it wouldnt matter.THATS NOT THE POINT!!!! It is going to take longer to arrive than I paid for. She said I would have to discuss it with customer services and they would give me a ring.
When talking to my dad he doesnt think I should get a refund as it will still arrive, I disagree.
What would you guys do?
