....you got told by a seller to, literally, ******* off just because you asked if they would take an offer?

Yes, everyone in their right mind puts a little bit on top of the price that they are actually wanting to achieve so that the buyer is able to negotiate. Unless the ad said - no offers, fixed price etc.

er yes! If no offers then the seller should just say that, either in the add or politely to a buyer! No prob either way, but to be actually told to **** off is a bit much!!

Cheeky sod! Answer is yes, absolutely no need to be rude to anyone like that, let alone a prospective buyer. Some people!

Phew, I'm glad it's not just me then!:o

There was a few other sarky and unnecessary comments in there, but thought it better to leave them out, just in case the seller is lurking around here.

Would it be wrong of me to send a reply, saying 'there was no need to be so rude', etc, or would you just leave them to stew?

Wow, how rude! As long as it was an offer that wasnt taking the 'p' then yeah sure, your entitled to make an offer unless he stated 'no offers' etc.

I hope you just turned and walked away!

First off id name and shame:D

Secondly, just leave him, dont give him the satisfaction of showing he got to you. He can stew the rude arrogant pig.

I'd just let it go and walk away, be the bigger person. Just chalk it up to the weird buying and selling rigmarole!!

I hadn't actually named a price, I'd just enquired as to whether they would be willing to take one.

Oh, and it was a woman.:D
