Ok, think this may just turn into a rant!! Sorry
Potted histroy, Josie had PSD surgery 3 months ago, she also had big tear in suspensory. Told probably never ride again, but we'll do everything we can.
So...... we're on week 2 of riding in walk
. We're a LONG way from being out of the wooods yet. She's out in a small paddock 15x15 with her best mate turned out in paddock her small one is in. Does that make sense?
My ex (bless him) just went down to check her, and give her hay, she's eaten her paddock bald, calls saying help, she's going mad. Other horses owners daughter has come down and got horse in. J left on her own, now calling and running in circles!!!!
I storm down there, he's brought her in her veins are popping and she's snorting.
I said to daughter, who knows the score with Josie, it would have been nice to have been told, so I could get J in. I'd rather her in her stable than running round in a paddock. I get an ear full of swearing. Then the mum (meant to be a good friend), txts saying it's not all about Josie, she wants freedom with her horse!
Now, she works til 5 Josie is back her stable by 2, which is why I didn't think it would harm anyone. I've never and would never say she has to be left out, all I asked was let me know and I'll gladly get her in.
Incidentally, this is a horse that has come in with a bleeding nose, cuts, ripped off chestnut, and a huge kick on the bum. What did owners do when I called them? Nothing. What did I do? Clean up horse, dress injuries and make sure all ok.
Feel SO angry.
Would you be too. Or am I overreacting like the daughter screeched at me?
Sorry it's been a long one. But I needed it, cookies for all still with me x x x
