Would you be annoyed?

i think youve really overreacted, poor girl was propbably really excited about possibly buying your 'very valuable' horse. i wouldn't be suprised if you've scared them off, phoning her mum!! i personally wouldn't have been offended/annoyed at all, and if i was i'd have sorted it out with a quiet PM to the girl. i don't like your attitude AT ALL.

i mean, your selling your horse and your worried what they'll do to his mane?

i can see why you'd be a bit fed up about the pic in the sig, but if this girl is young perhaps she got the wrong end of the stick, and thought you'd agreed to let her have the horse. it's better to find out the reasons behind it then to just fly into a panic.

Just because someone suggested pulling his mane doesn't mean she's going to do it.

I'd be very wary of loaning from you in case I came on here and found out what I was doing wrong courtesy of this forum.

Tricky one, I can see your side of it but as others say maybe it's the kids excitment, I should try and focus on whether the horse will have a good home, if so try and ignore the other stuff.

mmmm, I've just put my beloved boy on loan and I made sure that people hacked him out and groomed him etc to get a real feel for him.

TBH, I think you're overreacting a bit but I guess it's difficult to understand unless you're in your shoes!

I'm not sure what mum was supposed to do though?

ok guys im even more annoyed.... 1st of all the horse would be going on LOAN to these people for at least 6 months, he is also advertised for sale else where for 4k, so silly posts could reck the chance of him selling or loaning to the perfect home.

i have now found it it was some random teenager connected to the org girl and that the girl that came to see him knew nothing of these posts!! im glad i rang the mum as i think the parents should be informed of things like this. especially when accounts are being set up with personal details, that the person it all has to do with knows nothing about!

i appreciate that some of you think ive over reacted but the people were told he was advertised else where and i ahd other people to view him so maybe they should of been a bit straighter with the kid!

now just so you all know im not a real meanie, they are still in the running!! as she rode well and they are a nice family!

I think its ridiculous. If this is all you have to worry about then lucky you.. poor kid was probably just really excited. Would sour the whole experience for me if I was her and had read this post. Don't be so mean

How did you find out that it was some other girl who posted the picture etc?
Its all sounding quite odd to me, some random girl posting about plainting pretending to be her friend? Are you sure the girl isnt just scared and telling stories?

tbh if they read this post then i dont think they will want the pony anymore.

Stick to your guns. It's not over-reaction. People should behave with ordinary common sense and good manners. The fact that they're teenagers is not an excuse!

QR -

I really can't answer whether it would bother me or not, because it would all depend on the relationship I had with these people.

If I liked them and thought they were the best people for my horse, then I would see it as nice that she is taking such an interest.

If I didn't like them, then it would likely be a useful excuse to not give them the horse.

PS. Anyone who thinks £4,000 isn't a fair amount of money quite obviously either has too much of the green stuff or someone else is paying for their hobby; because £4,000 is certainly not insignificant to me .... or to most people.

agree 100% there....

yes i agree it was odd about the other girl! now for people that have they said they dont like my attitude... i ask if others would be as annoyed as i was, i am not worried about any one reading this thread as no names have been mentioned, and at the end of the day the horse is mine, if i had something to hide i would not of posted in the 1st place.

i do understand that the girl would be excited, but they were told that there was other people to see him, and that i was not in a rush to get rid of the horse so trials were expected of them and any trial offered to them before making a final choice. i couldnt of been more clear or fair.

for the comment about the 4k... the horse is worth a lot more but i am not intrested in money, and lets face it some of the best horses in the world have been the bargins,

yes i asked the mods to remove the post, hipp... i asked a question for other peoples opinions, as i didnt want to do the wrong thing and at the time was really cross. your comment is neither productive or wanted, but thanks for the input!
