This is just a really random idea that came to me this morning lol. I know when I go to shows I never have any family to go with me to take pics and there are never any event photographers *little local shows*. I always enjoy taking photos at shows, so.... I thought.... there is a place near me that I am good friends with the owners and there is currently no photographer there, that I could take pics and give people the chance to purchase them. I don't mean as a business or anything and seeing as I don't have the posh printers ect that I could maybe charge £1 for an email copy of the photo? What do you think? Would you pay £1 for a dencent pic?

I would, however I go to competitions with lots of people from my stables (using the school horses) and most people I know go to local shows with at least one other person, so not sure how great the demand would be.

If you are going to do this you would need to make sure you have a camera that is high enough resolution. I don't think people would pay for snaps from a low res camera. You would also need to look into insurance and registering for tax. I'm not saying it isn't a good idea but you would need to consider it a business (unless you are giving the photos away)

If you want to post people decent quality "actual" photos then look at one of the services online. Snapfish for example charges £1.20 for a 10x8 inch photo or only 10p for a 6x4 - 99p postage for as many copies as you like.

I'm currently setting up a service like this local to me!

I would pay for a photo on photographic paper, not an email copy I'm afraid.
But if you get photographic paper and your printer can manage you might be surprised by the interest!
