Would you be interested in a livery yard with just off road riding?

Sounds great, riding on the roads these days is like playing russian roulette even on a bombproof horse.
All my hacking is on quiet farm tracks, woods, and fields, with an hours hack on a quiet country road servicing only the farms and cottages in the area, all the lanes have access into the fields if you need to get into the side to let anything past, on the very rare occasion you meet something.
Id rather have hacks like this than busy roads with the many zoomers that drive on them

We have this at home. 150acres to ride round and a bit of a scary road leading to not very exciting stuff outside. I often put mine in the truck to meet friends to properly hack out and often think that even though the hacking is longer there are less places to have a proper trot and canter. At home you can do some serious work as some fields are whole loops so you can do laps. 1 takes my mare about 3 mins to gallop around (slowing for the corners) and we will often canter 4 or 5 laps of that. In all the local hacking you would never be able to do that much work.

I also have a permit to ride in Windsor great park so box up there for variety.

I have lived at this yard for nearly 4 years and I'm not bored of the riding yet. I guess I might be if I didn't box out to other places though. It's time efficient too, not having to spend ages getting somewhere to have a trot and a canter. I know it's not always about that but in a busy working week it's quite nice to think you can do a 40min ride and do some proper work.

I do think walking is important though and used to worry mine didn't walk enough but now we have a horsewalker so that's covered too.

Good luck
