Friends horse is absolutely stunning but has got a tendon injury and so will only be able to do RC activities, hacking, small jumping up to 2ft6 and dressage which he proved to be very talented and consistent at.

Does anyone know if there is any homes for horses like this?

He is safe in traffic, good to handle, shoe, clip and generally deal with.
Can be lively but not (what I may class as) stupid wouldn't ever buck or rear just may hop about but not unsafe.

Any advice appreciated :)

Absolutely. A young ex racer at my livery yard was out on loan and in exactly the same situation as you have described - tendon injury which resulted in him only being able to do basic jumping, but could be hacked/schooled etc no problem. He has since been bought and lives a very happy life and is spoilt rotten by his owners!

Not all people are competitive showjumpers or even want to jump at all. There are many people who just ride for pleasure and/or enjoy local competing every now and again. And so, he could definitely find a good home!

Just read the part about his dressage - if he is talented at it, like you said, this will make him even more sellable. There would be a wider array of potential buyers - he would not only attract pleasure riders/people who compete now and again, but those who are dressage orientated and compete more.

Thank you soo much :) we thought so but didn't know whether it was wishful thinking!
He is absolutley lovely and soo talented its such a waste...very nice looking too, dun tbx andalucian.
Thanks for replying :)

Yeahhh, I can think of plenty of people who'd love him! Not wishful thinking at all - as I See Clover said, not everyone wants to compete/jump the moon - the people I'm thinking of are very experienced, but just prefer hacking, schooling and spoiling their horses!
He sounds quite handsome too :)

I sold a horse with an old bad tendon injury, had about 10 phone calls about him in a few days!! As he was cheap due to the injury but had evented to a reasonable level after the tendon with me!! first person to see bought him!! There is hope definitely :) :)
