Would you be offended...?

I did this!

I worked with a racehorse last summer and I fell for him. I'm not normally 'like that' about other people's horses either.

I asked about buying him if he ever failed and was laughed at (good naturedly) as he showed promise and was well bred. Queue me visiting him every other week for 7 months (and asking him quietly to run badly!) and he was going poorly. I was offered him earlier this year and he is now mine all mine!!

I cried myself sick when I stopped working with him and could not quit the visits, I'd probably still be going fortnightly if he wasn't mine! I still can't believe it some days. He's a little legend.

DO IT!!!

Awww what a nice story spotsrock :) ditto what the others have said, ask for first refusal should she decide to sell him, i wouldnt be offended at all. :)

First refusal. I'd be chuffed to bits knowing my horse was in the hands of someone who cared for him that much and it might even prompt a sale which hadn't been considered before

I can't see it being an offense; do it!
Might lift some weight off her shoulders considering she's moving abroad and having money trouble.

I love my riding school mare who ive been riding for the past 15 months; wish i could buy her :)

Do it....but DO research his value first so you know you can a, afford him b, have a good idea of what he is worth. Think the offer of first refusal is a nice idea too.

Thank you sooo much.
