Personally I am thinking about buying one as I have to hack out on a very busy A30 and in the winter tend to be high vized up to the hilt! has anyone got one? how flattering are they?

Not at that price, no! Can get decent work-wear ones from £30 to £50 max. But yes, I would and have considered buying one. Bit scared to in case I frighten the livery's horses when I turn them out on a dark morning!

Now all they need to do is add the flourescent to the body guard and they have the ultimate riding coat! I am with Nailed, hell yeah!

Well actually would be seen alive, shich is more important

£110 are they having a laugh!!!

Go to your local n=builders merchants and buy one for £30. I guessa it depends how vain you are - is it worth spending an extra £80 on something that may be slightly better cut, but no safer than the cheap version.

Sister bought a great flouescent fleece at local builders merchants, but they only do them in quite large sizes and I would not be able to get my hands out of the sleeves!

That has an EN safety number, which is actually extremely important, I love that jacket, but not the price. I have a Police jacket (without police written on it!) that is not exactly flattering, but certainly does the job, bright, warm, waterfproof and comfy. It cost me £22.

LMAO!! It's so uncanney... I was watching the exact same coat! I fell in love with it at first! Thought I HAVE GOT TO HAVE IT!

Then I thought back to my high viz riding sheet, and remembered how filthy and stained it got, after a while didn't come clean through washing, and all I managed to do was wash the water proofing out!

So on that basis I opted to buy a cheaper one as it's that colour what just gets minging around horses, and is a weeeee bit expensive to trash!

I had a police jacket too, came down to my knees but no-one ever ran me over.

Out of curiosity, what does EN mean, and why is it important?

Milton Keynes Market £20 - blouson style. When in gets minging (which with that colour is quick) sling it in the macine & when it's not waterproof anymore or too stained (which it will be & soon) there's no heartache in getting a new one.

I've worn a coat like that before- I think from a distance people think you are the police so they all slowed right down, never had so many courteous drivers pass in one ride

I love that coat, but it is a big price. I like the fact that it doesn't have an elastic hem. They always ride up to my waist and I look like a flourescent tennis ball. I think I would get too warm in it as well. I would like a hi vis waterproof, which I could zip a fleece/quilted liner when required.

I got a awesome deal - JCB were recently offering cloths with parts ordered so my hubby got a padded gilet that is reversible - with a flourescent side - warm and safe!!! (And free my favorite!) Thought I can put a waterproof underneath when needed.

I have one and love it, very comfy and warm. It does get dirty but washes no problem.

I was out last winter with it on, hi vis sheet and leg wraps and the local police stopped to talk to us because they thought we were from the mounted division!!

Suprised how much it makes people slow down and I have always worn hi viz before.

I had the Luna Rider one previously and although really comfy it leaked

Argh I really liked it until I saw the price!!

I do like the idea of a hi viz winter riding jacket though. I hate it in winter when you're full of layers anyway, and then you have to add your hi viz jacket on top! I have a bright pink joules coat which is good. Stops you feeling trussed up like a turkey.

Expensive, but I bet it's far, far warmer than any of the cheaper makes. I have Mountain Horse hi-viz gloves and they are far warmer than any other gloves I have. MH also do warm, padded hi-viz over trousers: Vision Overtrousers

I quite fancied these but again quite pricey and as I already have some blue horsewear ones couldn't quite justify the cost!
