Would you buy a horse that weaves at meal times?

I have one and compared to the door kicking pony which has just left the yard i know which one i prefer! mine weaves a little at meal times and occasionally when she's stressed over something such as tractors in the field behind the yard.

i had my old horse from 15 months to 24 years. i never saw her weave, apparantly as soon as she heard my car she started weaving and when i walked into the yard she stopped, so my friends told me....she was just expecting attention and she was PTS because of stifle lameness, nothing to do with her fronts..

Our new boy was a real pain at mealtimes when he came to our yard. He had been encouraged to bounce up and down for his dinner in his last home and he tried to get over the stable door in excitement. He also weaves til fed. The excitement has been gradually reduced and he can now contain himself as long as he gets his dinner immediately as soon as he goes to bed at night. Once dinner is scoffed he calms right down.

would depend on the horse - my tb wore a hole in the concrete at the sales in the space of 4 hours from weaving. When I got him home he was chucked in a field for 6 months and totally destressed, When I started stabling overnight again he weaved a little at dinner / ready to go out / exciting things but otherwise was fine. Wouldn't put me off, one thing I did was had a thick bit of matt at the door to cushion the legs
