I would buy it if after weighing up the owners account of it's history tied up with the vets and farriers thoughts of it's future
However that would be if I wanted a fun horse to enjoy at home
If I wanted something to compete over big fences with then I wouldn't buy it especially if it has no history in eventing and more especially if the owner doesn't recommend jumping over a certain height!
Apart from anything after owning a horse with a physical defect it will just grind you down when every 'expert' around reports you to the RSPCA or show authorities. I stopped going to shows in the end as all the enjoyment vanished. I ended up carrying a letter from my vet with me but even then when others see you at a show trotting your horse up for the vet word travels :;
