A rising 3, section D mare, pretty much unhandled apart from halter broken and very basic leading and brushing? Third home (including breeder), so I would be fourth. Being sold for a friend, person who is selling sounds honest about the fact she's done nothing and needs time- says she isn't nasty, just completely green. Hmmm.....

If as uncomplicated as it seems and is registered with decent but not outstanding breeding I'd maybe part with £700

If there is a hint it had been unsuccessfully started early or it wasn't registered I guess no more than £400-500 at this time of year

Thank you (again :o ) no she's literally been chucked in a field for a year, after going through a sale where she was sold by her breeder (apparently) is now stabled, decent breeding and they gave the breeder's name and it's registered name.

I'd say not much more than meat money. There's lightly backed 4yr old registered D's going for only a few hundred. A friend bought a 4yr old for £400 from a private home back in summer. Very good breeding, backed, well handled etc. Admittedly green & not a pro's job on riding away, but nothing awful just a bit backwards. Not been clipped or shod, but otherwise done all the groundwork. And he wasn't a fluke either, we saw a few similar, & prices will have dropped now its winter.

A bit harsh. Depends on what she is, sounds like she has done what a rising 3yo should have done which is the basics. Price will depend on a lot of things, some 2yo D fillies would be a lot more than £400, if she was sold through a sale previously try & find out what she went for & take it from there
