Would you buy a pony like this?
11 year old Shetland, fantastic temperament, genuinely likes small children. Good on or off leadreain, will do ride and lead (either way), safe in traffic, good to box/shoe/vet etc. Even our vet has commented on her lovely nature and how nice it was to handle a Shetland that wasn't trying to kick his shins or bite his knee!
BUT
She has sweetitch, manageable by Boett rug which she loves.
She had a mild attack of laminitis earlier this year which we think may be Cushings related, although this is still to be investigated. She has no problems with wearing a muzzle and has so far made no attempt to remove it.
I also think she is developing a spavin.
I feel she is too bright and too young to be a companion pony as she enjoys doing things. So would people with small children be interested?
