Hello
Just curious for opinions,26 year old Welsh cob who’s now pretty much retired (odd wander down the lane) due to copd.
He’s now got mild arthritis in his hocks understandable as he’s been an incredible horse and at almost 27 I think we have done very well
Spoken to vets who have advised to pop him on painkillers for the winter due to cold and decreased movement (they have advised equoxx however I’m opting for Bute satchets simply as I go onto mat leave and I’m trying to be sensible with my money though I understand equinox is kinder on their gut)
Anyway he’s on maxaflex for his joints but is it worth keeping him on this if he’s on a painkiller a day? I understand the difference but not sure if it’s worth me carrying on with the supplement
