Would you ever have a red ribbon even thou' your horse DOESN'T kick?

This has been bugging me in warm ups recently - people just don't seem to have any respect for other people and their horses!

I though about putting a red ribbon in my horses tail, but wondered if anyone would know what it meant or if they would just think I thought it looked pretty!

I suppose anything is worth a try!

I think I'm going to give it a go at my next comp. I'm getting quite bored of shouting and swearing at incompetent idiots. Not that I wouldn't continue this if someone still came too close with the red ribbon on. IDIOTS! It infuriates me!

Yes - I would try a ribbon the next time. Won't do any harm, and even if it stops some of the muppets coming too close.

I sympathise as have been in the same situation (TB mare does not like being between the wall and another horse - pins ears back and tries to run).

Good luck.

I will be putting a red ribbon on my youngster when I start competing him. 1 to keep people away and 2 he is a bit sharp and he just might put a leg out.
Safety first I say.

I read on the BD forum that one woman politely said 'Left to Left' to some inconsiderate fool and got a mouthful in response - I think that could trigger my fishwife side
