dog or bitch puppy, I have a dog, Paddy, 11 mths old GSD and want a playmate for him. Lost an old bitch last week, so have just been looking for another girlie, what have others got?

I have 5 girls and 5 boys at present
I would go for a bitch, opposites tend to gel better with the bitch nearly always becoming the BOSS
dogs actually generally go ok, so I would tend to go dog/bitch then dog/dog and never bitch bitch, unless you have a good age gap and a not overly dominant bitch already

Deary me...
I've one of each, I think it is easier generally but it all depends on the dogs themselves, how they are raised, trained, if they are neutered or not etc.
