Have just been browsing and it got me thinking whether I'd even bother going to a yard of a dealer that doesn't advertise the price of their horses. Maybe it's just the cynic in me, but I'd imagine all the horses would be at the top end of your budget as I bet that would be their 1st question to you!

Why can't they just put a price on their ads!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't bother. It's like shops that don't price their goods in the window - you just know that you won't be able to afford anything there!!! And even if I could, I would never bother going in to find out!

Because they like to sum you up when you walk through the door:p

What you drive, what you know and how much they can fleece you for as they watch you expression when they give you the first price.!! lol
They can't do that over the phone but I bet they will have just the one your looking for my dear.:):D:p £25,000 :eek: sorry slip of the tongue I meant £2500 hahahahahah!!!!!!:p

What makes me cross about dealers yards, is that they claim to have 50 horses to look at. When you get there, having driven for an hour, you find there are actually only a couple of horses and they are pretty poor looking individuals. It does not seem to matter what they say on the phone, when you get there, the situation has changed and those horses have suddenly been sold.

Regards the POA business - if you want to sell something, why are people shy and not willing to show the damn price in the advert. I called about one the other night and the woman said - "oh he is £10k" - when I said, that is too much, she said "oh I thought it would be" bloody cheek - strangely that horse is still being advertised a month later.

Have liveried on dealers yards and have actually seen some increase price based on car the prospective buyer arrived in so probably not as then they can make it up.
I was told toincrease price of daughters pony to people we sold them to just because they had bought a brand new lamborgini(?sp).
