I've had my own pony/horse on loan for 5 years but had to give up for various reasons but mostly money (I'm a student).
I'm desperate to keep my hand in but because I'm not working at the moment/may end up doing week to week temp work I'm not sure I can commit to a share for the summer as I'd originally hoped. I want to buy my own when I finish in a years time and don't want to be trying peoples horses being stiff/out of balance and generally even more rubbish than normal.
Anyway...would you go back from having your own to riding lessons at a riding school? I will be having private lessons not group lessons as I hated them when I was taking lessons before my own ponies. My logic being that it will be good to take some time to focus on me and perfect my position/confidence etc...even thinking about trying out for teams next semester
Would you do it in my position?
Also....how the hell do you even begin looking for a riding school?!
