I wanted to take Alfie to a local RC show next weekend, but TBH I'm wondering whether or not to bother. I would like to take him to show him the big, wide world, I know we haven't much chance of doing very well as he's no show pony and a total dirtbag:D, But there's this GHASTLY woman who should be showing at her own level - affiliated - but comes to all the local shows, gobbing off about the lack of quality of the entries, tells people their ponies are emaciated - they are not, just not puffing, fat lardbuckets like hers......this is the complicated bit - I sold a pony said GHASTLY woman had bred, and she isn't happy - so guess who is going to be on the recieving end of the abuse????? Thing is this now means I cannot go to any of my local shows, so cannot get Alfie out and about - may as well not have him.....

Ask yourself, do you a) care for this woman, b) like this woman, c) depend on this woman for your living, d) desperately need her goodwill, pr e) respect her opinion? Unless you answer Yes to any of the above, then ignore the batty woman and you go and enjoy yourself :D

Yes I would go. Give back as much as you get while smiling sweetly ( its really annoying for the other person but satisfying for you) and have a really good time with your horse. Thats what its all about after all.!!

Don't let this idiot stop you doing what YOU and your boy want to do. If she tries to kick up speak to the organiser or steward and get her told off!

Have a good show, we would all like pictures please :)

Half the problem is that I work in the local feed merchants so not only will I get hassle at the shows, but I'll get hassle at work too.......and I can't be extremley rude to her, as much as I'd love to be - she is a nasty, nasty piece of work.

As you think she isn't too keen on you anyway, you're probably going to get the hassle, so you might as well go and enjoy yourself anyway :). Just go and, as another reply says, smile sweetly and just do your thing :).

Definitely go, don't let the old bat spoil your fun!

If you get cornered by her out of the ring, smile sweetly then wave into the distance and shout hello and excuse yourself to have to go and speak to someone over yonder and leave her standing there :)

oh, and good luck!

after seeing the a rather tame side of her nasty side i can understand why you are worried about going. however noone should be able to make you prisioner and have you worried about taking your horse out. take him, educate him like you need to and sod her. i will deal with her at work if ness. you can't make alfie suffer because of one self obessed busy body who know nothing, about nothing

I say go to the show and ignore her - theres always going to be someone who wants to spoil your fun, so get out there and show her what a fab pony you have!

If she starts being nasty to you at work, your employers have a duty of care towards you - i'm guessing said woman is a client and not an employee?
