Would you hack if at all icy/snowy on country lanes?

We hunted Saturday, and although the ground wasn't perfect, you only need common sense on your side to end the day well...
Some people just wrap their horses up a little bit more than other do, some people take more caution than the rest of us, which is why you disagree.
I know Starbucks pretty well, she is a (fairly ;) ) level headed woman and a good jockey, I've seen her call it a day early out hunting when she thinks the horse isn't right, she isn't an idiot, she puts her horses first- she just wants to get on with life, through the weather, as we all do in our own ways...
 
As much as I'd love to have got back out riding early, I wouldnt risk it until the snow and ice had completely gone off the roads, last year I was hacking out with a friend when we thought it had all gone, and we hit some black ice, the horse I was riding (not Spot) slipped, and went down on all four knees it was awful, we took him straight back to the yard, and luckily he was ok and no damange done. Lesson learnt!! :)
