Would you let me ride your horse?

I would! I was exactly the same at your age (21 now) and I was FEARLESS-I would have sat on anything just to get to ride, so I sat on my fair share of nutters! This in turn gave me a very balanced, independent seat although I wasn't the prettiest rider to start with - I was light and effective. This will stand out to anyone who knows how to ride and will work in your favour as you move up. I went from riding naughty ponies to ex racers, to young sharp showjumpers.

A well known rider once told me ' please don't be worried but I've been paying a lot of attention to your backside, and have decided we must discover whatever it is that keeps you glued to that saddle, bottle it, sell it, And we will make millions!'

And I was only 17 - maturity, hard work, loyalty and dedication get you everywhere and anywhere in the horse world- never underestimate yourself or others always will, but be honest about your ability

Good Luck!

if you are small & light enough there is a huge market for older riders to work on little ponies - i can think of at least 2 families on my yard who would love to have a compatent teen rider to do a bit more on their ponies than their 7 or 8 yr old riders can manage

I wouldn't purely because of your age, I'd be too worried if you did fall off and get injured that i would be liable especially as legally you are still a minor, however in a couple of years I'd be fine about you riding mine.

I've just taken a couple of people on to help me exercise mine and one of the conditions was "adults only".
