that your horses breathing may get better & also if theres better hacking? Horse is currently stabled on a yard with virtually no hacking (its very near a busy road & near some rapeseed). The other yard is near the coast and has no rapeseed nearby plus he can live out. Downsides are its further away (25 mins/10 miles) and it can be a bit bitchy.

I moved my NF pony mare from a yard where there was some unidentified pollen that gave her breathing difficulties (2 x emergency vet visits for severe attacks which resembled an asthma attacks in a human / daily use of an inhaler to prevent further attacks) to a yard on a hill, a couple of miles away. The change in my pony was instantaneous. She is now perfectly healthy. So yes, I would move.

Thats great. Its just the bitchyness & the distance Im not happy with but I'll keep myself to myself and if it means his breathing gets better then all the better. Plus hes not really accepting the inhalers and is getting funny with them so if i could stop using them it would be good.

Yes, I'd move. It might not even be bitchy anyway, the horse world is full of mostly untrue gossip. If it is, just ignore them.

Just be aware that farmers rotate crops each year. No rape this year may not mean that they don't grow it in years to come

You'll probably feel like a weight has gone off your mind if your horse's health improves, so you will be able to let the bitchyness go over your head..

I looked at this yard last year and there wasnt any rape around then. Ive had a drive around and cant find any there plus with it being right near the sea hopefully that will be better too for his breathing.

Thats true but I know two people who have their horses there and one of them is not very nice. Im going to keep myself to myself and remind myself why Im there.
